چکیده
Abstract Objectives Midline suprasellar meningiomas include planum sphenoidale, tuberculum sellae, and diaphragma sellae meningiomas. Multiple classifications have been previously documented; however, they come with controversies limitations, including those surgical implications. The aim of this study was to classify based on their behavior toward the underlying bone neurovascular structures. Methods Patients newly diagnosed that underwent extended endoscopic transnasal approach between 2015 2021 were included in study. following parameters evaluated: chiasmatic sulcus length, location optic chiasm nerves, canal involvement, vascular displacement. Results We identified 40 cases midline meningiomas, 1 meningioma (type A), 10 B), 9 C), sphenoidale D). Asymmetrical visual complaints most common followed by (66 50%, respectively). Chiasmatic showed increased separation A1/A2 complex (8.9 mm) compared (2.7 (1.9 Compared other types, length observed Conclusions Preoperative evaluation involvement tumor relation structures can be used is a distinct subtype Its unique nearby could value during resection.

Endoscopic transnasal suprasellar approach for anterior clinoidal meningioma: A case report and review of the literature
BACKGROUND Anterior clinoidal meningiomas (ACM) are traditionally approached through transcranial routes. Due to their tendency to extend laterally and their proximity to vital neurovascular structures, the endoscopic transnasal suprasellar approach is still questionable. We present and describe an ACM case that underwent an endoscopic transnasal suprasellar approach, and provide a review of th...
متن کاملAtypical presentation of suprasellar meningioma
Demyelinating optic neuritis is the commonest cause of optic neuropathy in young adults. Retrobulbar optic neuritis is one of the frequent clinical forms of demyelinating optic neuritis. We report a case of a 28-year-old lady who presented with blurring of vision in the right eye for one month and pain on eye movement. Fundi examinations were normal. Initial suspicion was that of retrobulbar op...
متن کاملTRANSNASAL ENDOSCOPIC APPROACH FOR SINONASAL INVERTED PAPILLOMA
Inverted papillomas of the nose and paranasal sinuses are uncommon neoplasms, characterized by their tendency to occur and by their association with malignancy. In the past decade there has been a trend toward the use of endoscopic surgical techniques in the management of these tumors. This article presents the results of a prospective study of24 patients with inverted papilloma resected by...
متن کاملTransnasal endoscopic assisted dacryocystorhinostomy
Transnasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy is a good alternative for external DCR. It is considered a safe and efficient technique with successful results, comparable or even better than the external technique. Advanced knowledge of the endoscopic anatomy and the lacrimal system is necessary to perform the procedure safely, and to obtain good surgical outcomes. The aim of the paper is to analy...

Transoral percutaneous endoscopic gas− trostomy (PEG) is not possible in some pa− tients due to difficulty in opening the mouth (e.g., in patients with head and neck cancers, oral submucous fibrosis, dental misalignment, and intermaxillary fixation). Transnasal endoscopy has been used for diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and for placement of enteral feeding tubes [1, 2]. However, the...
